Bonding
Composite resin is ideal for repairing chipped or cracked teeth, filling in a tooth gap, correcting tooth discoloration, protecting any exposed tooth root from gum recession, or changing the shape of a tooth or teeth. The microscopic mechanical attachment of the bonding agent placed on a treated and etched tooth surface often times allows these changes in appearance to be achieved with very little alteration of the natural tooth surface. Once this is done a composite resin filling material is placed and shaped to achieve the desired change in the appearance of the tooth.
